Empowering At-Risk Youth for a Better Life

Destination Achievers is an organization in that empowers at-risk youth to become better citizens in life and to give the youth the opportunity to excel in areas where they seem to be struggling. It is an organization that assists with improving the youth’s way of life. This is done by gathering participation from other community organizations to invest in the upward mobility of the youth’s lives. Destination Achievers is an organization that provides education through programming for at-risk youth. Destination Achievers is a project that is needed to assist at-risk youth to be better contributors to society. The ages of the enrolled youth will be between 13 and 25 years old and will be identified as exemplifying violent or criminal behavior. The at-risk youth will be from the community. Therefore, the community will have an obligation to assist with their empowerment.The community has a moral responsibility to participate in the lives of our children. The community’s participation in the lives of our children has the ability to discern and render positive transformations. The formation of any youth or individual has been shaped by the social worlds around them and facilitates the empiricism that determines our general bearing in life. Bruce C. Birch and Larry L. Rasmussen say that “we cannot and do not muster moral insight for ourselves by ourselves apart from our communities, any more than we are or can be human beings apart from others” (Bruce C.
